Position Yourself for Prosperity

For the month of July, let’s focus on “Positioning Ourselves for Prosperity”.

Psalm 1:3 states That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers.

It symbolized that a righteous person is like a tree planted by streams of water. This water represents the Word of God and the Holy Spirit.

Just as a tree draws life from water, Christians are sustained and strengthened through daily Bible reading, prayer, Church attendance and giving.

You see a faithful life produces fruit in their life at the appropriate time. In other words, the Christian will produce evidence of their faith. Our life should take on more of the nature of Jesus Christ. This flows out a life that is just naturally connected to God.

If we are anchored in God, then even should challenging times arise, we remain vibrant and resilient.

Jeremiah 17:8 They will be like a tree planted by the water
that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought
and never fails to bear fruit.”

Finally, “whatever he does prospers” assures the faithful that a God-centered life is ultimately fruitful and blessed. This prosperity is all encompassing. It includes firstly spiritual prosperity, but also material prosperity. Living in alignment with God’s will and purpose positions us to prosper in every area of our life.
