Bible Text: 1 Corinthians 9:13-14 Do you not know that those who are employed in the temple service get their food from the temple, and those who service at the altar share in the sacrificial offerings? In the same way, the Lord commanded that those who proclaim the gospel should get their living by the gospel.

Monday Through Friday Bible Reading

Spend time in devotional with the Lord. Read your daily chapter out loud. Is there a word that particular speaks or stands out to you. Contemplate that thought as to walk out your day…

Word of the Lord that came to us by Dr. Amos B Robinson for the Body of Christ for the year 2027…

August 14, 2026

2027 Is a year where the Lord is going to share some things with you in areas where you need to make changes.  These changes that you make are going to open the door to your restoration in certain areas of your life.

The Joy of the Lord is Your Strength

Nehemiah 8:10: Then he said to them, “Go your way. Eat the fat and drink sweet wine and send portions to anyone who has nothing ready, for this day is holy to our Lord. And do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

This is a year where the Lord is going to share some things with you in areas where you need to make changes.  These changes that you make are going to open the door to your restoration in certain areas of your life.

Joy is not viewed as superficial optimism but asthe fruit of walking with God. Genuine joy accompanies faithful obedience to the Lord’s direction.

"Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!" (Philippians 4:4)

Apostle Paul’s command was written from prison, demonstrating that biblical joy depends on God's presence rather than favorable circumstances. Likewise, James instructs believers to consider trials as occasions for joy because they produce perseverance (James 1:2–4)

2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, 3 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. 4 And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

For believers, "the joy of the LORD" is rooted in the assurance that God remains faithful to His covenant. Even seasons of correction are ultimately expressions of His love, leading His people back into fellowship.

Joy is often associated with drawing near to God's presence.

Joy is opening the heart to receive divine blessing, emphasizing that worship offered with gladness reflects harmony between heaven and earth.

The Holy Spirit produces joy as one of the fruits of God's indwelling presence (Galatians 5:22–23).

"These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full."(John 15:11)

Our strength is not found in circumstances, achievements, or human resilience, but in the abiding joy of the Lord—a joy secured through the finished work of Jesus and sustained by the Holy Spirit.

An Invitation to 40 Days of Greater Joy

I want to personally invite you to join me and our ministry on a 40-day journey toward greater joy. Perhaps you are beginning this journey during a season of blessing, transition, waiting, disappointment, or simply because you sense that God has something deeper for you. I believe these next forty days can become an opportunity to turn your attention toward God and rediscover the powerful truth of Nehemiah 8:10: “The joy of the LORD is your strength.”

For the next forty days, I encourage you to intentionally give God a few quiet moments each day. Read the Scripture, consider the devotional thought, answer the reflection questions honestly, pray, speak the Joy Declaration aloud, and record what God is showing you. Do not approach this journey as simply another devotional to complete. The goal is transformation.
