The Joy of the Lord is your Strength
For the month of March, let us focus on joy, miracles, and divine favor.
Joy is not merely an emotional response; it is a spiritual strength that sustains believers through trials and victories alike. The Bible frequently commands God's people to rejoice, showing that joy is both a choice and a divine gift.
Nehemiah 8:10 declares, “The joy of the Lord is your strength.” This passage reminds us that joy is more than happiness—it is a sustaining force that empowers us in difficult times.
The Bible is filled with miraculous events, but some of God’s greatest interventions are hidden beneath ordinary circumstances. While God often performs visible miracles, such as parting the Red Sea (Exodus 14:21) or raising the dead (John 11:43-44), He also works behind the scenes, orchestrating events according to His divine will.
Esther, an orphaned Jewish girl, becomes queen of Persia—an unlikely position for delivering her people (Esther 2:17).
Divine favor is God's unmerited grace, lifting individuals and nations to positions of blessing and influence. Those who walk in covenant with Him experience His supernatural favor in various ways.
"And Esther obtained favor in the sight of all who saw her" (Esther 2:15). Despite being an orphan and an outsider, she was chosen as queen by divine favor.
Divine favor is often connected to obedience and purpose. It opens doors, protects from harm, and ensures the fulfillment of God's will.
